CTET notification 2021 application form is out for all the eligible candidates on the official website. Know how to apply online, application last date and eligibility about the CTET also know as national-level examination organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is held twice a year to decide the eligibility of participants for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to eight. The CTET exam is conducted twice in a session for Paper-I and Paper-II.

The CTET 2021 registration started for all the eligible candidates and the application form last date is 19th October 2021. Download the CTET 2021 notification and application link from its portal – www.ctet.nic.in. 

The CTET Paper-I is for participants who want to teach Classes 1 to 5, and Paper-II is for participants who wish to teach Classes 6-8. Candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to take both papers.

CTET Notification 2021

The CBSE has released the CTET notification 2021 on 20 September 2021 on their official website- ctet.nic.in. The CTET exam will be held either in December 2021 or January 2022 in online mode.

The notification will have all the important details of consent to the exam, including the exam dates, the application process, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and exam day guidelines.

The CTET application form 2021 will be announced along with the notification. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of the CTET exam can apply online by visiting the official website. To begin the application form, candidates need to pay the examination fee.

The fee is around Rs 1,000 for General and OBC categories candidates and Rs 500 for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Differently Abled Person.

CTET Eligibility 2021

Candidates who passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate marks are qualified for appointment as a primary stage teacher.

Candidates who need to clear graduation with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate marks or 10+2 with at least 50 percent aggregate marks are qualified for appointment as an elementary stage teacher.

Candidates have to complete the prescribed teacher training programmes/teacher education courses.

CTET Exam Process 2021

The CTET selection process includes the subsequent steps.

Step 1: Fill CTET application form

candidates have to fill their CTET 2021 application form online on the official website of the exam. Candidates also got to pay the CTET application fee of Rs 1,000 (for one paper) and Rs 1,200 (for two papers).

Step 2: Download CTET admit card.

After filling the form, candidates can download the CTET 2021 admit card from the official website of the exam. The admit card for the CTET exam shows relevant details related to the aspirant and exam. It also has the candidate’s test centre details as well as reporting time for the exam.

Step 3: Appear for CTET exam

candidates need to report to their CTET exam centre at least 90 minutes before the start of the exam. The exam is of two and a half hours duration. On exam day, two papers are conducted. Paper-I has got to tend by candidates who want to qualify for teaching classes I-V (primary wing). Paper-II is for the students who want to be eligible for teaching classes VI-VIII (elementary wing).

Step 4: Check CTET result

CBSE announces CTET results on the official website. Candidates who clear the exam get a CTET eligibility certificate. The validity of the CTET eligibility certificate has been extended from seven years to a lifetime.
