National Eligibility Entrance Test or NEET is a national-level medical entrance examination. The exam takes place once a year. The official conducting authority of the NEET exam is the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The exam offer admissions to candidates in MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH Undergraduate (UG) Courses. Admission is offered in the top Medical institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC and various other reputed government and private medical colleges.

NEET 2022 Eligibility

Age Limit

  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as on 31st December, 2022.
  • The upper age limit for General candidates must be 25 years.
  • The upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates must be 30 years.


  • Applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), or Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear for the exam.
  • Candidates from the Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to appear for the exam under the All India 15% quota only by self-declaration.

NEET 2022 Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects in 10+2 or its equivalent.
  • Candidates appearing in class 12th exam can apply.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English must be the mandatory subjects in class 12th.
  • General: A minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in their Class 12 or HSC examination is necessary.
  • SC/ST/OBC: A minimum of 40% in aggregate is required in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.
  • For Physically handicapped – General: 45% marks is required.
  • For Physically handicapped – SC/ST/OBC: 40% marks is necessary.

How to Register for NEET 2022 Exam?

  1. In the first step, go to the official website for NEET 2022
  2. Candidates first need to register themselves by providing name, valid mobile number & email ID.
  3. Now, fill the registration form.
  4. Fill the details: date of birth, category, nationality, qualification details, choice for exam center etc.
  5. Upload the scanned copies of the documents photograph, signature etc. in the prescribed size and format.
  6. The payment of fees can be done through Online mode: debit/ credit card or net banking and Offline mode: SBI E-challan facility at any nearest SBI branch.
  7. Towards the end, the confirmation page will appear about the NEET 2022 registration. Download it.
  8. Safely keep the hard copy of the duly application form for future use.
